Your first visit should feel simple. You do not need to know the names of the poses or have a regular practice already. Come as you are, and give yourself time to settle in.
Before you leave home
Choose comfortable layers that let you move freely. Bring water and your mat if you have one. Contact the studio beforehand to ask about borrowing a mat and any access needs.
Arrive with a little breathing room
Aim to arrive ten minutes early. Introduce yourself to the teacher, choose a place in the room, and take a moment to get comfortable.
During class
Listen to the guidance, explore at your own pace, and rest whenever you want. You can sit out a movement or ask for another option. Your practice does not need to look like anyone else's.
After class
Notice how the experience felt rather than judging what you could do. Ask your teacher which class might suit your next visit. We look forward to welcoming you back.
